We are an award-winning independent bookshop that has been serving the people of Stoke Newington since 1987!

We are open 10am-6pm from Monday to Saturday, and 11am-5pm on Sundays.

If you’re stuck for ideas, our friendly and knowledgeable staff can provide recommendations. We’re as enthusiastic about reading books as we are selling them!

We won the LBC/Independent Newspaper Best Bookshop in London Award in 2004 and were a finalist in the 2006 Nibbie Best Independent Bookshop in Britain Award.

Orders

While we stock a wide range of fiction, non-fiction, children’s titles, puzzles and games, we don’t have everything. We can, however, source most in-print titles within a couples of working days — just call, email, or pop into the shop to order!

If you can’t make it into the shop, ordering through our Bookshop.org page means we get a small percentage.
